 
Inspiration in Technicolor is brought to us today through the multi-colored illustration produced by young Australian artist Nicky Barkla. The twenty year-old located in Melbourne, Australia, creates portraits of famous characters such as Albert Einstein, Gollum, Sonic the Hedgehog or Edward Scissorhands with dips and swirls of paint – and the results are truly fascinating and psychedelic. Her motto is just as surreal (to put it mildly): “There he goes. One of God’s own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production.
